Barista, Shift Manager

We are opening our cafe in Carrboro, NC soon and looking for an experienced, upbeat Barista/Shift Manager as soon as possible.​ 

 

This is a unique opportunity to join the founding team of a brand new cafe focused on fresh and delicious baked goods, quality coffee, and warm hospitality. You’ll be part of developing our café business, setting the tone for service and culture, and helping us build a community favorite.

Responsibilities

  • Craft high-quality coffee and espresso drinks with consistency and care

  • Provide exceptional customer service with a positive, welcoming attitude

  • Manage and supervise shifts, support teammates, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations, working directly with the owner

  • Open and/or close the café, carefully following checklists and protocols

  • Keep the café clean, organized, and running efficiently

  • Manage point-of-sale transactions and light inventory tasks

Qualifications

  • Have 3+ years of coffee shop management

  • Are excited about helping open and grow a new neighborhood café

  • Enjoy leading by example and supporting your team

  • Communicate clearly and stay calm under pressure

  • Have a passion for great coffee, great food, and great people

  • Bonus: Food safety knowledge or ServSafe certification

  • $23-$26/hour pay
